Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress. Known for her performances across the stage and screen, she has received various distinctions, such as her own Academy Award a British Academy Film Award a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to two nominations for Tony Awards. Allison Janney was a regional actress for almost twenty years before becoming famous for her role as White House Press secretary C.J. Gregg The famous and beloved character on The West Wing by NBC (NBC 1999-2006), is an established name. Allison Janney, a long-time late bloomer, has always been anything but. Her driving license until she turned 17, a year longer than the majority of her fellow students in Ohio. After she graduated from university the first time she went out on a date was not a reality. Although she started auditioning in the age of 23, Faris wasn't able to start starring onscreen until the age of 30. Faris has since left Mom in the year 2020 has chosen to be very selective in her roles. The majority of her appearances have been in animations with the only exception being 2022's The Estate. As Faris herself, she has told PEOPLE this wasn't a conscious choice she had made. Anna Faris had left CBS's popular sitcom Mom prior to the final eighth season. Faris claimed she had left Mom to pursue different opportunities. However, now Faris admits that this was not an unintentional decision. Janney, who has been wearing a wig since the start of the show and was unafraid. Fallon said to her "'Guys I've wore the wig from season one, but nobody knew. So now everybody is informed.'" Janney is taking her wig along with her to commemorate the moment. According to reports, she made up an average of $125,000 to $225,000 each episode during the initial seasons. Faris was believed to have made $200,000 for every episode in season three and four.
