Jenna Fischer has become best well-known as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For her role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was attracted by her mother's church performances as she began her career.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her roots. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons for Being Happy was directed and written by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.

The podcast became wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloaded during its first two years. The Actor's Life is her debut book that details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actress professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her best friend and their experience working at The Office.
